Growth Engineering, a multi-award winning learning technologies company, has been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Training Journal Awards.

Since their launch in 2006, the Training Journal Awards have continuously grown in popularity to become one of the most prestigious awards recognising the very best practice in organisational learning and development.

Growth Engineering’s award submissions were made jointly with some of its clients for their use of its gamified, social learning management system, The Academy LMS.

TD Academy was built by Growth Engineering, Hewlett-Packard and Azlan, the Enterprise Division of Tech Data Corporation. It’s been shortlisted in two categories at the Training Journal Awards – ‘Best Sales Programme’ and ‘Best Use of Technology in Learning’.

TD Academy has been used to train Azlan’s 4,000 sales partners spread across Europe. The main goal of the programme was to outgrow the market and all competition. Since launching in 2013, the partners who are making the most of TD Academy are now outperforming the rest of the market by roughly 70% in terms of year-on-year growth.

Steinhoff Learning Store, built by Growth Engineering and Steinhoff UK Retail, has also been shortlisted in the ‘Best Training Partnership’ category. It’s used to train the 2,300 salespeople across Steinhoff’s UK businesses – Bensons for BedsHarvey’s and Cargo.

Growth Engineering and Steinhoff worked closely together to fully brand and customise the learning platform. Since launching, Steinhoff’s three UK businesses have increased sales revenue, reduced staff turnover, and cut down the time it takes to train new starters by a third.

Debbie Carter, Editor of Training Journal, said: “We are delighted to receive so many excellent and varied applications this year. The standard improves each year and I am particularly glad to see a rise in both the technology and sales category for 2015.

“TJ extends its thanks to all those who entered this year and wishes all the finalists the best of luck with their interviews.”

Juliette Denny, Managing Director of Growth Engineering, said: “This just proves that we’re working with some of the biggest rock stars around!

“It’s awesome to be shortlisted alongside some of the most recognisable companies in the world. We’re going for gold in the next stage of the competition, and we’ll definitely be giving everything we’ve got to win!”

Growth Engineering, Azlan and Steinhoff will be interviewed by judges on September 8 and September 17. The gold, silver and bronze winners will then be announced at the Training Journal Awards Gala Dinner on November 25, at The Brewery, London.
