goFLUENT, a leading provider of distance English training, has expanded its sales presence and investment in the language learning market in the USA with the appointment of Brett Walker.

A sales professional, Brett has joined goFLUENT having worked at learning management system (LMS) giants, and brings to his new role a vast knowledge of the SaaS On-Demand eLearning Software Solution Industry.

In his previous positions, Brett worked with clients such as Senior Vice Presidents in the HR function; Vice Presidents of Human Capital, and Training Directors to identify their organisations’ human capital training and development gaps and develop appropriate solutions. goFLUENT believes that this knowledge and experience will enable it to meet the growing needs of its large customers in the USA as they seek to deploy distance learning programs internationally and integrate these with their LMSs.

Sandrine Pruniere, Vice President of goFLUENT International, commented: “Brett brings with him a wealth of knowledge including ten years of business-to-business sales experience, of which four years has been spent in the e-learning sector. He’ll be using this experience to secure new deals with companies in the US, enabling goFLUENT to target this key strategic market for future growth.”

goFLUENT already has a number of American clients, including O-I, the glassmaking giant, and Eli Lilly, the tenth largest pharmaceutical company in the world. goFLUENT’s blended learning approach helps these global organisations to improve their business English communication.

Learners receive consistent written feedback, as well as individual coaching, to enable them to develop linguistic confidence and correct grammar. Additionally, learners have access to e-learning resources from AFP, the New York Times, and Harvard Business Review.

The need for distance learning has grown in recent years as companies which operate globally have adopted the policy of using English to communicate both internally and with their customers, anywhere in the world. goFLUENT, with its blend of e-learning, customised content, written coaching and telephone lessons can meet this need by providing a consistent and efficient learning experience.

Christophe Ferrandou, CEO of goFLUENT, commented: “We’re finding that, increasingly, large international companies are looking for a global English training partner.

“goFLUENT is one of the leading training providers that can meet those needs with our unique blended offer. Indeed, in recent months, we’ve augmented our portfolio of products and services by partnering with the New York Times News Syndicate to use NYTNS videos and Harvard Business Review articles as resources on our e-learning platform.

“The combination of this blended solution and market growth has seen goFLUENT experience a rapid degree of growth in the US. We believe that Brett’s arrival will go some way to servicing this steadily increasing demand.”
