~ New training centre in Leeds and new courses in Bristol meet demand for IT and business skills training in skills such as service and project management ~

IT and business skills provider Global Knowledge has expanded its regional footprint by opening up a new training centre in Leeds and increasing the number of events in Bristol. With over 1.7 million people currently working in science and technology in northern England, and Bristol attracting a large concentration of high technology companies in ICT sectors, the expansion gives the company the opportunity to meet regional demand and develop its business across the UK.

The Leeds centre, which will have the facilities to train up to 100 delegates at a time, will offer a range of courses specialising in Cisco, Citrix, Microsoft and VMware certifications. It will also host a variety of 'best practice' events focusing on service and project management.

"All too often the IT industry is too quick to forget about businesses outside of London, but regional firms are equally reliant on developing technical skills and expertise for their survival," explained Allan Pettman, UK managing director of Global Knowledge. "We've seen huge interest, particularly for our service and project management courses in both Leeds and Bristol."

"Despite the challenging financial climate, our business is continuing to grow on the back of our investments in good service and commitment to building strong client relationships." Allan concluded.

Global Knowledge will be celebrating the launch of the new Leeds training centre on Thursday 24 March with a range of free seminars for business:
