Global Knowledge is initially running the ITIL Service Management Essentials course from its training centres in Wokingham, London, Coventry and Wakefield. Adam Murphy, Product Manager at Global Knowledge, says that the company will extend its ITIL portfolio significantly over the coming months. "As more enterprise organisations look to maximise the value they derive from their IT resources, we've seen a steady rise in demand for ITIL training courses and we're now developing a more sophisticated and advanced range of ITIL courses that will enable customers to take their ITIL capability to the next level", he comments.

In particular, Global Knowledge is working to prepare for the launch of ITIL v3.0 and expects to put a whole series of APMG accredited courses in place during 2007. "Global Knowledge has always been a forward-thinking organisation and in bringing these courses forward we are putting the stepping stones to the advanced adoption of ITIL in place. We are thinking ahead on behalf of our customers." The company expects to have ITIL v3.0 courses in place as soon as the new version is available. "This will enable our customers to be among the first to benefit from all of the improvements incorporated into ITIL v3.0" adds Adam Murphy.

The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is the global standard in applying best-practice for business- focused IT services. Global Knowledge is developing and delivering the ITIL courses in partnership with Fox IT, one of the leading proponents of ITIL education in the UK and a long-standing Global Knowledge partner. This enables Global Knowledge to offer a full range of high quality and innovative end-to-end integrated training services covering ITIL, MOF, ISO20000 and COBIT.

Frank Hojgaard, UK Managing Director of Global Knowledge believes that the current investment the company is making demonstrates its long-term commitment to its customers and its own success. "Our approach to ITIL further enhances our commitment to being recognised as the UK's leading provider of learning services for IT and management professionals. At a time when a number of our competitors are commoditising the IT and professional skills training marketplace, Global Knowledge is investing heavily in its IT infrastructure, training and catering facilities, and in our people to ensure that we provide our customers with a quality service that offers better value for money."
