New e-Learning title offers important information on implementing a logical approach to resolve Passport-related problems.

International Nortel Networks Meridian User Group, June 18, 2001-Global Knowledge, Inc., (http://get.globalknowledge.com/norteltraining), the world's largest independent provider of integrated IT education solutions, has launched the Passport 6400 Troubleshooting Self-paced e-Learning title.

This new title is offered in support of Global Knowledge's new generation of Blended Learning Solutions (BLS) courseware, offering flexibility for students with the ability to "blend" multiple curriculum delivery methods. BLS was unveiled in mid-April with the announcement of 33 new courses and 120 new titles to be introduced by year-end 2001. Passport 6400 Troubleshooting is introduced as part of this continued commitment through BLS to provide unparalleled flexibility and customisation in the design and execution of worldwide IT training programmes.

Passport Troubleshooting is a self-paced CD-ROM course specifically for Passport technicians and end-users. With this training, students will learn to demonstrate customer listening skills, document observed symptoms, translate customer statement and observed symptoms into an ordered plan of action, and then implement a logical approach to troubleshooting and resolving Passport related problems. This self-paced course is highly technical and features lecture sessions and practice simulations in an engaging setting that includes the Passport NTP documentation.

This course is designed for professionals who are responsible for normal operations and maintenance functions on the Passport 6000 series product line. The course is highly recommended as a follow-on learning experience for students enrolled in Passport Operations and Maintenance (Course 7280).

"Passport 6400 Troubleshooting takes learning to the next level, without the cost or inconvenience of travel, by offering the ability to learn at your own pace in a familiar environment," says Bryan Pickett, vice president and general manager of Global Knowledge Nortel Networks Enterprise Solutions Training division. "This new offering will continue our drive to the overall blended solutions offerings we provide for Nortel Networks."
