Firebrand Training launch new Microsoft Software Tester apprenticeship programme
Firebrand partner with Microsoft and Testhouse to launch the new Microsoft Software Tester apprenticeship. The programme will teach young professionals DevOps skills and support Microsoft’s commitment to 30,000 new apprentices by 2020.
Firebrand, leaders in accelerated training, have launched a new Microsoft Software Tester apprenticeship in time for the arrival of the Apprenticeship Levy. This programme was developed in partnership with Testhouse, a Microsoft Gold ALM Partner.
The launch of this programme aligns with Microsoft’s National Empowerment activity, which now sees over 4,500 young people start a Microsoft-backed apprenticeship across over 2,500 Microsoft Partners and customers each year.
This programme is designed to bring new software testers and DevOps specialists into the IT industry, where testers are more essential than ever. The Microsoft Software Tester programme will be delivered against the new national Software Tester Apprenticeship Standard.
This programme is tailored by Firebrand to provide the skills employers need and includes £10,000s of accelerated software testing training, provided in partnership with Testhouse.
Stefano Capaldo, Firebrand’s Managing Director, says:
“We can’t wait to get new software testers and DevOps specialists into the industry to fill the digital skills gap and contribute to Microsoft’s target of 30,000 new apprenticeships by 2020.
“Firebrand are already receiving interest from employers for this exciting new apprenticeship. We’re excited to have our first Azure apprentices starting soon.”
Firebrand’s accelerated Microsoft Software Testing apprenticeship
Apprentices on this programme will develop into software testing and DevOps professionals, able to design and execute tests on business applications and services.
This programme will focus on Microsoft Visual Studio 2015. Because of the rapid increase in popularity for this solution, there is a lack of sufficient training in the use of its software testing tools.
Jim Cowdery, Head of Business Development at Testhouse, says:
“We are very proud to work with both Firebrand and Microsoft to provide much needed skills in the marketplace and offer businesses affordable testing solutions.”
Apprentices will also have the option of studying the globally-recognised ITIL framework on Firebrand’s accelerated ITIL Foundation course.
