Filtered Announced as 2015 EdTech 20 Finalist

Old Street, London – 16 July 2015. Filtered, the online education platform that customises learning material for each user, has been confirmed in the final 2015 EdTech 20.


This is recognition of Filtered’s work in online training where they are able to customise courses, in essential business disciplines and software, using a patent pending proprietary algorithm.

Organised by EdTech Europe, the leading executive level education technology-focused conference in Europe, the EdTech 20 ranking recognises Europe’s top 20 EdTech startups by innovation and growth each year. Inclusion is determined by a global panel of judges, evaluating various factors including revenue growth, scale, innovation and market impact.

Filtered teaches professionals just what they need to learn. It does so by using an algorithm and student inputs to determine the most relevant content for each individual. Users learn more efficiently and more effectively as a result, thereby delivering high ROI to their business and upskilling themselves in the process.

Users are professionals including office workers, retailers and freelancers and clients include Asda, EE, ING, New Look, Regus and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Filtered is both the provider of course content and the web-based technology platform through which it is delivered. Filtered courses are independently certified by the CPD Certification Service and the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI).

Filtered’s aim is to make the case for personalized online training unarguable and to establish themselves as market leader in personalized business training. As an EdTech 20 finalist, Filtered had the opportunity to pitch the company to 650+ executive level investors, innovators, and industry influencers from European and global education technology companies attending EdTech Europe on June 18th. Filtered will also have the chance to gain exposure at EdTech Europe’s worldwide partner events Slush, SXSWedu, WISE and the QS Reimagine Education Awards.

Entries came from a large range of European territories, with the UK EdTech market experiencing particular success in this year’s awards. France and Germany also saw multiple successes, as well as Norway and Denmark.

When asked about what becoming a finalist in the EdTech 20 meant to Filtered, founder Marc Zao-Sanders said: ” We were absolutely thrilled to have made the final EdTech 20!
