Kydon signs re-seller partnership agreement with eXact learning LCMS

Kydon Learning Systems Institute, a provider of learning technologies and technology-enhanced learning solutions in Singapore and Asia, has signed a partnership agreement with Italy-based eXact learning solutions, the digital learning content management business solution provider.

Under the agreement, Singapore-based Kydon will act as the reseller for eXact learning solutions’ learning content management system (LCMS) in Singapore and Malaysia, with potential extension to other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Kydon has been developing its skills in using the LCMS since June 2013, with the intention of becoming a ‘super user’ of the system. It now feels that it is sufficiently familiar with the LCMS to help its clients reap the benefits of using the system too.

Kydon’s Chief Executive and Chief Learning Architect, David Yeo, explained: “We fuse advanced pedagogies with cutting-edge technologies to deliver learning environments that engage the learners’ intellect and imagination. So we deliver world-class technology-enabled learning solutions to our clients; creating authentic learning environments where people feel engaged to learn effectively and efficiently - enabling our client’s workforces to perform well in today’s knowledge economy.

“Being the best at what we do means using the best – especially in the field of online learning technologies,” explained David. “So, when Sarah Teo joined Kydon from U21Global – now GlobalNxt University, the Malaysia-based Online Graduate School owned by Manipal Global Education with over 9,000 students from 72 countries – and told us about her experience of using eXact learning solutions’ LCMS, we wanted to see this LCMS for ourselves.

“In particular, we were looking for a platform to help us manage and author learning contents, especially at an enterprise level. In other words, there are plenty of rapid authoring tools on the market which can produce online learning content but these tools can’t cope with producing, storing, delivering, updating and monitoring the use of content, on a global enterprise scale, for thousands - and hundreds or thousands - of learners,” he said.

“Our core requirements included the ability for us to build content templates for our clients,” David revealed. “The eXact learning solutions’ system not only has a template-based structure but the eXact learning solutions’ team showed Kydon how to build its own templates.”

Now ‘white labelled’ as the Kydon Technologies’ LCMS, users can create, store in a centralized location (known as a digital repository) and publish content as well as revise and reuse existing content in different formats – both efficiently and cost-effectively.

“The LCMS provides content creation, content management and content delivery for organizations looking to implement scalable and affordable online learning and e-learning solutions,” David said.  “It’s built to industry-accepted e-learning standards such as SCORM, AICC and IMS. Moreover, it’s future-proof – and can integrate seamlessly with any learning management system LMS) or business system.

“Kydon believes that, with the eXact learning LCMS in place, it has the platform and the ability to meet both its business aims and its clients’ needs,” he added.

Kydon will be reporting on the demand for the LCMS in the Asia-Pacific region – and the success of its partnership agreement with eXact learning solutions – at the LEARNTech Asia Conference, being held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on 13th and 14th November. This event - Asia’s premier e-learning conference for the corporate, education and public service sectors – is promoting a multi-disciplinary approach for educators, trainers and L&D professionals to engage the modern workforce and deliver higher performance in an increasingly competitive economy.
