Learning NewsEpic

In the recently released eLearning Guild Research Report 'How Mobile Learning Is Done', Epic’s Director of Learning, Imogen Casebourne, examines nine international case studies on mobile and multi-device learning.

In the eLearning Guild’s 2012 mobile learning report authored by Clark Quinn, Guild members requested “great examples that show how m-learning can benefit organizations.” How Mobile Learning Is Done: Nine Case Studies from Around the World answers that call, providing nine clear examples from across organisations, countries and sectors. Each of the nine case studies demonstrates a different approach to deploying mobile learning and multi-device learning.

Based on Epic’s market leading position and thought leadership in the m-learning and multi-device learning industry, Epic was chosen to write up a case study-driven research report.

Casebourne will be co-presenting the research with Patti Shank and Clark Quinn at the concurrent session ‘Show Me How Mobile Is Done: Nine Mobile Learning Case Studies’ at mLearnCon on the 18th June 2013 from 13:00 – 14:00. mLearnCon is North America’s leading mobile learning conference and exhibition and features more than 100 concurrent sessions and 11 learning tracks.

Casebourne’s role as Director of Learning includes heading up Epic’s research department, where she has been involved in several high profile research projects. In 2012, she led and authored a follow-up research report for the NHS on mobile learning and was also involved in delivering a pilot study for the Wikimedia Foundation on ‘Assessing the Accuracy and Quality of Wikipedia Entries Compared to Popular Online Alternative Encyclopaedias: A Preliminary Comparative Study Across Disciplines in English, Spanish and Arabic.’
