Finding working partners with EPALE’s partner search tool

BirminghamLearning NewsEPALE

A tool that helps European projects or organisations find working partners has been launched by EPALE, the ePlatform for Adult Learning in Europe - and will be presented by the European Commission at OEB 2015, 2-4 December, Berlin.

EPALE partner search tool connects organisations across Europe to allow for collaborative working.

EPALE members can connect with others by:

  • Proposing an activity: Users can put forward project ideas and to invite prospective partners to work with them
  • Requesting a partner: Those who already have a clear idea of the type of organisation, a particular country or a specific sector within adult learning, can outline they’re looking for in a partner organisation
  • Registering their organisation: Users can create a profile so that others can approach them with project suggestions.

Danijel Dejanovic, Adult Education Centre, Frankfurt am Main said: “Until recently, we knew too little about what happens elsewhere. It used to be that if you needed partners from three countries, you had to approach each country’s national agency and ask for lists of addresses. Now the projects can be described in a completely different way, and partners can register themselves on EPALE. I think that’s really interesting.”

The EPALE Partner Search is the latest addition to EPALE’s catalogue of tools and resources including blog posts, news and case studies, an events calendar and a resource centre.

Content is available in the 24 official languages of the EU. In order to cater for the multilingual community, there are 30 National Support Services (NSS) which bring news and events from across Europe.

The European Commission are making a presentation on EPALE’s features at the OEB event, and the EPALE team will available for questions on EPALE’s exhibition stand.
