In light of the increasing number of laws and regulations, Southern Health NHS chose Enterprise Study to assist in managing their statutory and mandatory compliance requirements. A few years on, the Trust has shown significant ROI.

One of the largest providers of mental health, learning disability, and community health services in the UK, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust (formerly known as Hampshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust), are renowned for their expertise and committed workforce. Central to the success of SHFT are the Leadership, Education and Development team (LEAD), who manage the training requirements for the Trusts 9,000 internal staff, with the help of Enterprise Study.

Historically, the teams at SHFT maintained an Excel spread sheet which they updated manually, however keeping track of 9,000 plus staff proved costly and extremely time consuming for the training administrators. To this end, they required a sophisticated Learning Management System which could cater in particular to their complex statutory and mandatory compliance demands, as well as their blended learning needs.

A few years on, Southern Health NHS are absolutely delighted with the results. ES Compliance Manager has been invaluable to the Trust, who are responsible to a number of regulatory bodies including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), NHS Litigation Authority, and Commissioners (such as future GP practices).

Bobby Scott, Associate Director of LEAD comments “Enterprise Study LMS is particularly strong in compliance management; enables a true blended learning approach and has the option of managing external sales. The solution meets SHFT’s current and anticipated needs perfectly.”

The benefits Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust has realised through ES have been far reaching. They now show ROI in a number of areas including; reduced insurance premiums, greater accessibility through mobile learning, reduced staff time out for training, and ultimately – exceptional patient care.

“The partnership that has been built between Southern Health and Enterprise Study has enabled the SAAS technology to deliver a transformational learning and development culture for the Trust’s staff.  Southern Health continually identify many high benefit, innovative ideas which is shared across all our NHS customers in England.” quotes Henry Jodrell, Managing Director of Enterprise Study.
