Enterprise Study celebrates 10 years of working with training providers and client organisations to transform learning

This September, as students everywhere go back to school, Enterprise Study marks its 10th anniversary of transforming learning in the Training & Development industry.

This huge milestone is not only cause for celebration, but a platform for many exciting future developments that will lead us into a second successful decade.

Since 2002, Enterprise Study has worked alongside some of the UK's leading names, including the NHS, Global Knowledge, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), United Biscuits and Sunseeker International, to fulfil our company mission: to be the technology that transforms learning. We believe that the relationships we have created with other organisations have been invaluable, supported by the integrity of our team.

Henry Jodrell, managing director, has been part of the ES team since inception and has seen many changes in the industry along the way. “Training has become far more strategic to businesses over the years.  Not least in times of recession, developing the skills of existing staff is far more cost effective than recruiting new staff, and makes for a more motivated team. Regulated industries, such as manufacturing and public health, face stringent and sometimes complex statutory and mandatory training requirements. Compliance management has become a huge issue which ES has addressed.”

Of course, the most significant changes we have seen in the training industry over the past decade have been in the way we deliver and consume training as a result of technological changes. In 2000 we saw the birth of Broadband which vastly improved L&D in organisations by enabling online-based training. According to recent training industry statistics, over 61% of compliance training alone is now delivered online.

We have also embraced the concept of cloud computing which has reshaped the training industry and continues to support the ES Learning Network alongside our bespoke training modules, which include e-Learning and Video Learning.

Nonetheless, we now speak of Virtual Classroom Learning as often as we do classroom based events in the L&D world.  Mobile devices have proliferated these changes and ES has remained innovative and at the front of the pack in accommodating these trends.  Therefore our 10th anniversary sees the launch of our new Virtual Classroom Learning module, which is due to go live this September.

In the not so distant future Enterprise Study also seeks to create an Appraisals module to address the client-driven demand for the effective management of employee personal development plans. This streamlined process will help to reduce admin costs and will link directly to delegate accreditation.

Over the past 10 years we have recognised the changing requirements of the training industry and will continue to assist in the learning and development of our customers by using the newest technologies and by strategically improving upon the software we produce.

Steve Hurcombe, tech/IP director and co-founder of Enterprise Study reflects "It’s been a long journey and yet it’s gone so quickly. I’m really proud of what the team have built from that embryonic idea that Richard (co-founder) and I started in 2002. It’s really rewarding when you witness the excitement in people as they talk about your child. We’ve got a great product, a great team and passionate customers with great ideas – and now we’re starting to shout about what we do. It will be an exciting journey over the next 10 years."
