Ready-made blended learning from Course Source and Enterprise Study
Course Source, the e-learning service provider to training companies and Enterprise Study, the developer of the ESP training administration system, have formed a partnership to provide training companies with a ready-made platform to administer and schedule classroom training with e-learning.
Course Source and Enterprise Study have formed a partnership to
exploit synergies in marketing strategy, by combining both their
technologies to form a single, ready-made, blended learning
platform for training providers. The platform allows training
providers to select learning content and components and combine
them with live classroom courses - just for the precise period of a
customer's learning programme.
Course Source's content service allows training providers to
select timed enrolments across many of the e-learning market's
leading content libraries, including the NETG, Element K, Video
Arts, e-Lab, SkillSoft, Advance Learning ECDL, Self Test Software
and TeckChek libraries.
Enterprise Study's ESP training administration system provides on
line course cataloguing, event scheduling and e-commerce
functionality for classroom training operations. ESP's link with
Course Source now enables training centres to easily select
e-learning products to blend in with their live events and manage
the whole business through a single training administration
application.
Mike Leeson, commercial director, Course Source: "In the past
buyers usually had to sign up to an e-learning library for a full
year. This is not in reality how training is managed and delivered,
so we've reversed the process, allowing our customers to use the
e-learning content they require just for the period they need it
for. This is particularly interesting for IT training companies
that have been finding it difficult to blend technologies that are
sold like pieces of software, with traditional training courses,
which are sold as events."
Richard Williams, sales director, Enterprise Study: "Training
providers are faced with the challenge of blending the new types of
e-learning products into their offerings, but without adapting
their business management systems the sales and operations
functions tend to struggle to provide a seamless service blend. The
Course Source platform combined with ESP helps training companies
to overcome this."
