NHSScotland Quality Improvement Hub launches new eLearning Resources developed by eCom Scotland

We are pleased to announce, that following a competitive process, eCom Scotland has been selected to develop a suite of eLearning resources for NHS Education for Scotland (NES).

We are pleased to announce, that following a competitive process, eCom Scotland has been selected to develop a suite of eLearning resources for NHS Education for Scotland (NES).

To date the following Quality Improvement modules have gone live and are available at http://www.qihub.scot.nhs.uk/education-and-learning.aspx  

  • Introduction to Our Purpose and Values
  • Introduction to Quality and Quality Improvement
  • Introduction to Healthcare Systems
  • Introduction to Quality Improvement Methods
  • Introduction to Lean in Healthcare

The following phase 2 modules will be added to the learning zone over the next few weeks:

  • Introductin to Our Purpose and Values
  • Introduction to Our Purpose and Values
  • Introduction to Quality and Quality Improvement
  • Introduction to Healthcare Systems
  • Introduction to Quality Improvement Methods
  • Introduction to Lean in Healthcare         

These will be followed by:  

  • Knowledge into practice in healthcare
  • Introduction to measurement for improvement
  • Measurement for improvement: Presenting data
  • Measurement for improvement: SPC

Each module takes approximately one hour to complete and all modules will be available by the end of Summer 2012.

In tandem with the eLearning project eCom has developed the Learner Journey, a Self Development Tool designed to help learners discover what they already know about quality improvement, identify their learning gaps and discover new learning opportunities. By testing their knowledge learners can plan their learning journey in quality improvement

Furthermore, in addition to creating the bespoke eLearning content, eCom were also heavily involved in providing consultancy for the Quality Improvement Curriculum Framework in mapping out the existing eLearning resources and identifying any gaps.
