From a Director’s perspective the theory of “lifelong learning” certainly rings true. eCom’s Director, Wendy Edie is currently attending a Leadership for Growth programme run by the Leadership Factory. This is the Leadership Factory’s flagship programme and has been developed through working with some of the brightest and most forward thinking businesses in the UK.
As well as covering Psychometric Testing, 360 Feedback, Masterclass and Coaching the workshops offer opportunities to examine areas such as eCom’s organisational vision and strategy, in addition to determining what leadership, management and decision-making styles exist.
Another rising “Allstar” is Basil Khan, a Project Analyst who is officially a Microsoft Developer. Passing the MCAD not only demonstrates Basil’s commitment to his profession but is a true reflection on eCom and the company’s commitment to realising employees full potential. Basil is currently MCPD on ASP.NET Developer 3.5 working towards MCPD on Enterprise Application Developer 3.5 and subsequently MCPD on Web Developer 4.
Other snippets of company news include the appointment of a Business Development Manager. Karen Thomson (formerly an eCom Account Manager) is taking on this challenging role to keep eCom’s eye on the commercial side of the business, whilst at the same time continuing to develop eCom’s profile across both the public and private sector.
And on a final note even our Managing Director Linda is in learning mode, French a la mode!… otherwise making good use of her travelling time from meeting to meeting learning a new language.
