DuPont Sustainable Solutions Shows True Personal Stories in Distracted Driving Program
DuPont Sustainable Solutions has released a new training program that takes a personal approach in helping drivers avoid distracted driving.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Nov. 15, 2012 – DuPont Sustainable Solutions has released a new training program that takes a personal approach in helping drivers avoid distracted driving.
Fatal Distractions: Keep Your Eyes On The Road features interviews of people who lost loved ones to distracted driving. They share their personal stories and speak openly about how their loved ones met their tragic deaths.
These eye-opening interviews reflect on what could and should have been done to prevent the accidents, and offer timely, sobering lessons for all drivers. Most importantly, they describe their personal struggles to cope with the tragedy and hope that their experiences will help others avoid the same mistakes.
There are numerous distractions that can become fatal, such as talking on a cell phone, text messaging, eating or drinking, reading a map/directions, and conversing with a passenger. The statistics on distracted driving and its impact on road fatalities are clear. According to the National Safety Council, at least 23 percent of all traffic crashes, or more than 1.3 million crashes per year, can be attributed to cell phone use while driving.
Intended as meeting openers, refresher or general awareness training, Fatal Distractions: Keep Your Eyes On The Road is the latest addition to DuPont Sustainable Solutions' distracted driving curriculum.
