Virginia Beach, Va., September 2, 2005 -- CoastalAMI announces the release of Harassment Is ... ™ an innovative compliance training program that can help you rid harassment from the workplace once and for all.
Harassment Is ... tells the story of harassment from a victim's perspective with a series of realistic scenarios that show a range of victims, from a Jewish employee who is encouraged to celebrate Christmas to an older employee who is denied the opportunity to work on a project because of his age. Viewers learn that harassment can be based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender disability and age.
An on-camera host offers practical guidelines to prevent harassment. He encourages viewers to avoid off color jokes that can be interpreted the wrong way. He explains that employees should think before they speak, respect other employees, report all incidents of harassment and apologize for offensive behavior.
Viewers also learn that the costs of harassment go beyond the victims, with companies suffering from lower employee morale, reduced productivity, higher turnover and expensive lawsuits when incidents of harassment occur.
