Cutting Edge Learning Technologies for 2012 Showcase at London Olympia

London, UKLearning NewsCommelius Solutions

The most innovative modern technologies for learning and development will be showcased at the Learning Technologies 2012 exhibition on 25 and 26 January at London Olympia. The blended learning provider REDTRAY will be presenting its unique virtual classroom solution, CloudRooms, at the event in 'Cloud Lounge' stand 107.

The originality of this cloud based training solution lies in its hands-on labs, based in the cloud, which allow learners to complete practical exercises –a rare feature of live virtual learning. Jon Shepstone, Managing Director at REDTRAY, admits it is a shame not many organisations offer the opportunity to practice new skills in their virtual environments, because it significantly aids the learning process.

He explains, “It’s proven people learn new skills best when applying them in practical situations. CloudRooms lets students put into practice what they’ve just learnt and they can then hone their skills and ultimately be better at their job, or pass the certification they need.”

The cloud-based training technology, which has been nominated for two industry awards for its innovation and modern approach to learning, will be presented at the Learning Technologies exhibition in REDTRAY’s ‘Cloud Lounge’ at stand 107. All visitors will be able to see the virtual classroom in practice and learn about new trends in the adoption of cloud solutions for training.

Vicky Jones Head of Technology at REDTRAY believes the adoption of the cloud for training in business is at its tipping point. She says, “I think 2012 might be the year of the cloud in training”.

Jones explains, “There’s no denying the outlook of training and learning technologies is changing. It’s not only about e-learning or learning management systems anymore. Our recent study into the adoption of live online learning proves that by revealing that 60% of companies in the UK are looking to implement cloud-based training solutions. At our ‘Cloud Lounge’ we want to show people what the future of learning holds.”

REDTRAY’s ‘Cloud Lounge’ will be the destination point for those who want to have a firsthand experience of the most modern cloud-based learning technology and explore its immersive interactive features.

Vicky Jones adds, “We welcome everyone to stand 107 to not only learn about how virtual training can help them, but also to relax while engaging with the latest learning technology. Our ‘Cloud Lounge’ is the place to be.”

REDTRAY will be holding a seminar ‘Best practice for live online learning – training in the Cloud’ on the second day of the exhibition. Industry experts from Towards Maturity and Bank of New York will reveal findings from the first study into cloud based training technology and share their tips for successful live virtual training.
