Training in Cloud Solution Shortlisted for Another Learning Award

London, UKLearning NewsCommelius Solutions

It’s the second time a major UK training provider’s pioneering virtual classroom technology has been nominated for an award this year

The cloud based training solution, CloudRooms, has proven its value by being shortlisted for yet another award. This time the technology has been recognised for its Innovation in Learning Services for the Learning Awards 2012, granting its developer REDTRAY a second nomination this year.

With its innovative approach to training, the technology has already attracted the major IT service provider CSC, as well as Virgin Media, Credit Suisse and the British Red Cross. Over 1,000 learners have already completed training or gained professional certifications as a result of live online learning with CloudRooms.

Robert Humphrey, learning and development manager at CSC, sais, “Working with this virtual classroom solution, we quickly realised we could train three staff for what it would previously have cost us to train one team member with face to face classroom training.”

CSC, who is an early adopter of CloudRooms, has seen a reduction of costs of the company’s training by up to 40% in a period of just one year.

The cloud based technology solution has the usual components of a traditional classroom setting but is supported by an interactive portal and practical labs so individuals can get hands-on and apply their new skills. The solution also breaks learning into small modules to increase ease of learning and to improve knowledge retention.

Vicky Jones, MD of REDTRAY says, “The future of training is changing and by being nominated for the Innovation in Learning Services award we’re proving that our virtual classroom solution CloudRooms is leading the way. We have worked hard on this new technology and it has already delivered tangible benefits to our clients.”

She continues, “These are exciting times at REDTRAY. We are delighted to be shortlisted for another award this year. And at the moment we are awaiting results from the previous CloudRooms nomination for Most innovative new learning hardware or software product for the E-learning Age Awards 2011”.

The Learning Awards 2012 ceremony will be held at The Dorchester Hotel, London on Thursday 2 February 2012.
