Following the initial success of its Bridge Journeys learning automation feature, learning and performance management specialist Bridge has announced an update that allows users to add performance actions. The new release enables administrators to schedule 1on1 meetings and custom feedback prompts throughout the learning journey. This will help learners to mix their digital learning and instructor-led sessions with guidance delivered by the right people at the right time.

Bridge Journeys gives organizations the power to create customized learning and development paths, spacing out the learning experience into manageable chunks that keep learners engaged and prevent them from becoming overwhelmed. In addition to the eLearning courses, instructor-led events, and evidence-based checkpoints that already comprise the tool’s offering, Bridge’s new update allows users to incorporate performance management actions including:

  • Scheduled 1on1 meetings designed to coincide with key pieces of learning content
  • Skills feedback that allow appropriate specialists to judge the success of a recent piece of learning
  • Start/stop/continue feedback that allows organizations to inject proactivity into a form of feedback that often remains reactive

Director, Product Management, Simona Fallavollita, of Bridge, said: “Learning and performance don’t exist in separate bubbles, and we’re always looking for new ways to bring the two closer together. Adding performance actions to Bridge Journeys is an important step toward achieving a well-rounded, multi-dimensional development culture in which learning goals and achievements are informed by performance.

Plus, by placing a strong emphasis on 1on1 interactions and peer feedback, the new update puts people at the heart of all future development journeys, combining the convenience of automation with the heart and nuance that come hand-in-hand with personal connections.”

Established in 2015, Bridge is known for its market-leading, people-first approach to learning and development. It is committed to weaving learning and performance together to create a cohesive development culture built around conversation, connection, and growth, and this philosophy has fuelled its latest Bridge Journeys update.
