BroadSkill expands Solutions Business
BroadSkill, the UK's largest supplier of freelance IT trainers and a successful supplier of database development solutions, today announced the appointment of Peter Clements to head up its growing IT solutions practice. Many of the company’s trainers are experienced IT practitioners, and BroadSkill takes advantage of this huge network of highly skilled and proven individuals to provide IT solutions to customers in both the public and private sector. This business is now to receive increased focus.
BroadSkill’s venture into IT development solutions kicked off in 2000 when a number of local government and corporate customer requests were received to tap into the experience of the permanent and freelance team of BroadSkill and help them in the development of new IT systems. Because the best trainers are also practicing consultants, it wasn’t long before several projects were established. Today, BroadSkill has gained a reputation for cost effective delivery of both custom and standard IT solutions in the healthcare, waste management, e-business and database development sectors.
Peter Clements was previously Managing Director of CRMbase, a company providing consultancy and training on Microsoft CRM, the suite of technologies for Customer Relationship Management primarily targeted at small to medium sized enterprises. Before establishing his own business, Peter was for several years Director of Product and Marketing at Informatics, the technical training supplier.
Now Solutions Director at BroadSkill, Peter Clements said: “BroadSkill has an unrivalled resource in the huge pool of talent used for its trainer resourcing. Many of these people have shown great aptitude in the development and delivery of IT solutions, and it’s my aim to tap that resource, make our capability more widely known, and take us into new application areas, such as CRM.”
Stephen Fletcher, Managing Director at BroadSkill, said: “We’re really lucky to have been able to recruit somebody of Peter’s capability to take our solutions business forward. For many years, our solutions customers have come purely from those who know us already. We now plan to expand the business to reach other small to medium sized business and public sector organisations.
“Although it will use the same pool of IT practitioners and trainers, we see the solutions business as a separate enterprise to our mainstream trainer resourcing business. The latter will still be our main focus and our primary aim will be to continue to offer unrivalled service to the UK’s main training providers.”
