As name changes BroadSkill reports 40% revenue growth
BroadSkill, the UK's largest supplier of freelance IT trainers, today announced that its revenues grew by 40% in calendar year 2003. This is in contrast to the UK training market which, according to IT Skills Research, is estimated to have declined by 13% over the same period. The UK company, which changed its name on 1st January from Intuition Group, also reported a string of new clients over the period.
"We had a very good year in 2003," says Stephen Fletcher, Managing Director, "as many training providers recognised that using managed freelance trainer resources could bring benefits both to themselves and their clients." New partners established during 2003 included 2TrainUK, CSC, EDS, Sage, SCC, TTS Europe and Xpertise, joining a long list of other major training provider partners such as KnowledgePool, Parity, Pitman, QA and Spring IT Training.
The change of name from Intuition Group to BroadSkill not only better reflects the Company's current business but avoids the confusion that had arisen with other similarly named businesses. No change in company strategy was associated with the name change and BroadSkill plans to continue to offer the same industry-leading trainer-based services.
These services continue to attract great interest in an industry driven to reduce costs whilst maintaining quality, according to Fletcher. "We've seen a great start to 2004, and if present indications are realised, I fully expect that 2004 will show even higher growth in our business than last year."
