Atlas appoints new director of sales to drive international expansion

Atlas, the global specialist provider of innovative, interactive learning solutions for the energy industry, has announced the appointment of Kevin Short as Director of Sales.

Atlas, the global specialist provider of innovative, interactive learning solutions for the energy industry, has announced the appointment of Kevin Short as Director of Sales.

He will lead the global sales teams, a new position developed to deliver increased customer support and service to Atlas's expanding business, based from Aberdeen.

Mr Short has 24 years of senior sales leadership and management roles in financial and information technology services, based in New York, London, and Ireland with global blue chip companies including Pitney Bowes, DX Group, and Chase Manhattan Bank. He is a member of Institute of Mathematics and Applications and has a BSc. (Hons.) degree in Production and Operations Management.

He said: "As Director of Sales and a board member I am proud and excited to be working for Atlas, a company with tremendous international opportunities in competency and training and I'm really looking forward to the opportunity of working with the rest of the Atlas management team to deliver further growth and continue the company's global expansion plans.

Mr Short's appointment comes at a time when Atlas has announced the launch of three new translations of its International Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST) programme. IMIST is now available in nine languages. Having recently been adopted by LUKOIL, one of the biggest Russian oil business groups, IMIST is to be rolled out to workers in Iraq, ensuring the highest standards of safety in the industry and furthering international growth.
