ALISON ABC IT accredited as an NQF national certificate in IT in South Africa

ALISON ABC IT has officially received provisional accreditation as a SETA (Sector Education and Training Authorities) NQF (National Qualifications Framework) Level 3 National Certificate in IT in South Africa. This essential IT skills courseware is now being delivered by Busalph Global IT Training in Gauteng Province using ALISON ABC IT as the first-level in all IT-related qualifications and as a preparatory tool for employment.

ALISON ABC IT, which is provided with a free LMS, comprehensively introduces the beginner and near beginner to IT literacy. The course introduces the learner to the very basic concepts of computing and teaches how computing can be an everyday feature of life and work. ALISON ABC IT is for anyone who has a need to demonstrate to an international standard that they are fully competent in the use of a personal computer and common computer applications.

The course is divided into three separate sections (IT-1, IT-2 and IT-3) prefaced by a succinct overview of a Personal Computer. Topics covered include an introduction to computer hardware and software and also key concepts of the IT world. Practical skills such as basic touch typing; setting up and using a Webmail address; and workstation health and safety, teaching how best to organize one's working environment for safe use are also included.

The learner also receives a comprehensive introduction to the Microsoft Office 2003 application suite, the most commonly used office-software application package worldwide. This suite includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Commenting on the recent successful provisional accreditation, Busisiwe Nwosu, CEO Busalph Global IT Training stated "We have been instrumental in achieving SETA accreditation for ALISON ABC IT as an NQF Level 3 qualification, a basic computing qualification which will be a stepping-stone for a large portion of our population who would otherwise not have had an opportunity to achieve such a qualification.
