accessplanit shortlisted for Lancashire business BIBA awards

accessplanit has reached the shortlist for two categories - Small Business of the Year and Change for Growth - in the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce Best in Business Awards.

The BIBA’s organised by North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce have fast become one of the most prestigious business awards in the North West, giving companies the opportunity to showcase achievements and benchmark success.

The awards were created to recognise and reward excellence and to encourage a new generation of business leaders in Lancashire, with a focus on business values, vision, strength, and a will to build lasting success. Now in their 12th year, those entering one of the 16 BIBA categories are subject to a rigorous process. accessplanit is delighted to have reached the shortlist for two categories: Small Business of the Year and Change for Growth.

The Small Business of the Year award category, aimed at businesses with under 50 employees, received over 150 entries. The award recognises businesses whose innovation and search for excellence has defied the current economic challenges and played a vital role in creating wealth and employment in Lancashire. Judges will be looking for businesses who can demonstrate excellence in their field, punch above their weight and demonstrating passion, growth, commitment and tenacity.

2012 was an exceptionally successful year for learning and training management software house accessplanit, who doubled the number of employees and using their cloud based online solutions, assisted clients to automate over 45,000 courses which were previously administered using manual processes.

The first round of interviews commences in May with an impressive line-up of judges including members of the highly acclaimed Lancaster University Management School.
