Greystar’s Steve Thompson joins 5app as Chief Learning Officer
5app, the learning platform that delivers rapid knowledge transfer, has welcomed Steve Thompson, former Senior Director of Learning and Talent Development at Greystar, as its new Chief Learning Officer.
Steve Thompson brings with him almost 30 years’ experience in learning and talent development, learning innovation and OD including high-profile roles at HSBC, Barclays, SMBC and, most recently, real estate organisation Greystar.
In his time at Greystar, Steve spearheaded the development of the multi award-winning Greystar Business School, which leverages the flexibility of 5app to deliver high-impact learning and comms to thousands of employees internationally. On top of this, Steve launched Greystar’s new learning academies architecture, which surfaces highly relevant content to get the right information to the right people at the right time, which recently won a silver Brandon Hall Group award.
“I couldn’t be happier to have joined the 5app team,” said Steve, “because during my time at Greystar I came to really love the product, as well as the team behind it. I’m bringing energy, focus and drive to my new role as Chief Learning Officer, and as a true evangelist for 5app, I can’t wait to show other companies how to get creative and solve all their learning and comms challenges from a single, user-friendly platform that really feels like their own.”
5app is also delighted to welcome Steve’s Greystar colleague James Cranwell to the team as a Technical Solutions Consultant. James worked closely with Steve at Greystar as part of a ‘dream team’ who accelerated the development of the learning academies.
“I’m delighted to welcome Steve and James to the 5app team,” said Stuart Mason, CEO of 5app. “They bring with them a wealth of knowledge and first-hand product experience from their time at Greystar, and they are both brilliant additions to the team to support our ambitious growth plans.”
