The Health and Social Care bill was given Royal Assent on 27th March 2012. Whilst the Act does not enjoy universal acclaim there are some clauses which are clearly progressive and sensible. A key provision of the Act, establishing 'Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategies', is designed to finally bring about joined up thinking in the delivery of health and social care services.

With this goal in mind, Embrace-learning has just launched their 'Joint Learning Platform' (JLP). This is a Learning Management System loaded with high quality e-learning courses and qualifications designed to enable entire health and social care economies to learn together as they work together.

By providing joint access to local government, NHS and third sector organisations, these JLPs facilitate joint working at a local level and across organisational and professional boundaries.

Embrace-learning Ltd has successfully introduced JLPs to several health and social care economies across the UK. Cumbria, Northamptonshire, East Sussex and Durham have introduced Joint Learning, and more locally the health and social care economy in Halton have made e-learning widely available to its partners. In these areas, e-learning has been rolled out to a host of public and private partner organisations working together to deliver a whole range of services under the umbrella of health and social care.

Embrace-learning Ltd has been developing high quality e-learning courses since 2004 when they worked with the Department of Health to produce a course underpinning national guidelines on NHS Continuing Health Care. Since then it has established itself as a leading provider of quality e-learning to the public and private sectors. It has branched out into other sectors including Hospitality, Business and Administration and is working with a number of FE colleges including Trafford College.
