Industry leaders share knowledge and provide inspiration for World of Learning delegates

The renowned conference features a world-class line-up of experts and leading thinkers from the UK and overseas who will guide delegates through the issues affecting L&D practitioners today and look ahead to the future of workplace learning.

The comprehensive two-day conference is launched with an opening address by Geoff McDonald, Global VP HR at Unilever who will provide a guide to Embedding an innovative culture to ensure your organisation is at the cutting edge.
Neuroscience and the art of strategic questioning is explored by the University of Reading’s Patricia Riddell, while Melanie Lepine, Global Learning Strategy & Deployment Manager at American Express, will brief delegates on Learning to effectively conquer change challenges and the role of collaborative and effective leadership.
Steven Evans, design & delivery manager of digital learning channels at Boots, is set to discuss how the experience of games is changing learning culture in Using gamification to bring content to life.
Day two’s key note address is delivered by David Cavallo, research scientist & director of the future of learning group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He will address the subject of the next generation and their experience of learning in How will your future talent learn and what will their learning expectations be once in the workplace.
The effectiveness of video learning is covered by Tom Pape, head of learning innovation at BT Academy, while Vodafone’s online and mobile learning manager Tom Drewitt will discuss Using mobile devices for performance support.
Craig Weiss, CEO of e-learning, wraps up the Conference with valuable advice on How to evaluate what type of LMS is right for you.
A series of fringe seminars will run alongside the Conference, following their successful introduction last year. These are designed for those who are new to the L&D profession, for those who work or collaborate with L&D decision makers or anyone interested in more alternative topics to the central themes of the conference.
