Lisa Minogue-White, Director of Learning Solutions at WillowDNA reflects on what we can learn from the MOOC movement and how organisations could benefit from the best and avoid the worst.

Today, Lisa Minogue-White hosted WillowDNA's second webinar for the Learning and Performance Institute on one of the hottest topics for learning professionals in 2014 - the corporate MOOC.

On why MOOCs are now piquing the interest beyond the walls of academia, Lisa said: "There's been plenty of media hype, there's been passionate defenders, big investments, strong objectors and a fair smattering of skeptics. But in the midst of all this noise, there are some really interesting lessons and opportunities for organisations."

"At WillowDNA, we've seen the appetite to take complex subjects online within companies is stronger than ever. So reflecting on the MOOC experience, sharing where we have applied similar design principles to complex subjects and how we have avoided the pitfalls has never been more timely."
