With the demand for corporate MOOCs and comprehensive online academies increasing across all sectors, learning and development are being expected to demonstrate and deliver capability in instructional design, curation and facilitation. To help support this changing landscape, the e-Learning Network is providing a day of presentations, networking and practical workshops to explore how learning pathways deliver complex subjects online.

How should a learner work through a range of learning activities to allow them to build knowledge progressively? With 'resources not courses' underpinning the new wave of instructional design and the rise and rise of MOOCs, learning pathways have become more important than ever and are now an integral part of learning design.

This Friday's event will share case studies, best practice and academic insight on this complex but exciting (and critical!) subject.  Lisa Minogue-White, Director of Learning Solutions at WillowDNA explained why supporting this event was so important 'For us, Learning Pathways, Online Academies and MOOCs have been at the heart of how we work with and deliver value to our customers

With a practical focus, the event includes a hands on workshop session on building your own learning pathways. Speakers include John Curran from Designed for Learning, Sam Burrough, co-founder of WEELearning and Online Learning Consultant at UNUM Financial Insurance and Manuel Frutos-Perez, Director or Technology Enhanced Learning, University of the West of England.

It takes place this friday (23rd May) from 10am to 4pm at The Bristol and Bath Science Park Innovation Centre.  Places may be booked online at the ELN Website.
