Debbie Lawley, MD at WillowDNA interviewed by Helena Pozniak from the Guardian on what postgraduate programme providers can learn from online professional education.

"Academia would do well to look at the world of professional learning, which is adept at connecting with and provoking others to learn online." Says Helena Pozniak reporter for the Guardian.

Helena quotes Debbie Lawley, Managing Director of WillowDNA, referring to the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising Marketing qualification "I was watching discussions emerge online - the intensity of the dialogue was superb. The online environment is perfect for emergent knowledge and peer reviewing."

Universities are currently wrestling with taking their education online. Most VLEs, Virtual Learning Environments, used by higher education can be accused of becoming 'dumping grounds' with poor execution for the learner.

"When cohorts get together in more orchestrated online settings, results can be inspirational", says Debbie Lawley, managing director of digital learning company WillowDNA, which creates and facilitates professional and academic learning environments.
