Debbie Lawley, CEO of WillowDNA challenges the current focus on compliance with a call to the Learning Community to lead the charge in creating the strategic agenda for online learning.

The learning ecosystem is changing very fast indeed. From primary education through to higher education and from corporate induction to leadership academies, the learning environment is undergoing rapid and accelerating change.   Debbie Lawley, CEO of WillowDNA is delighted to lead a key session as part of this year's Learning Technologies Summer Forum 2013 seminar programme on Tuesday 18th June.  The session is shaping up to be a key talking point in the current online learning dedate, where Debbie will take the delegates through the skills involved in creating a strategic agenda for online learning.

On discussing the motivation for this topic, Debbie said 'I believe Gerd Leonhard, the keynote speaker for the Learning and Skills Group makes an important point, when he set out his concerns for the L&D team. In his words,The implications for learning in all this change are fundamental. With the traditional training function effectively disintermediated by technology and low-cost information, we have to adapt or be left with the compliance and induction training that nobody else wants to do”.  I am delighted to have the opportunity to share some key techniques and models I have found useful in working with teams to develop a case for online professional education and capture the attention of the board.'

Debbie will be speaking at 1.00pm in Theatre 2 on Tuesday 18th June at the Learning Technologies Summer Forum 2013. Register for free at Learning Technologies. A copy of Debbie's paper is available for download: Putting L&D on the Business Agenda.
