Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installers launches online training for members
iKBBI launched an online learning portal to its members at a House of Commons Event, developed by online learning specialist Virtual College in conjunction with CTSI.
The Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installers (iKBBI ) held a reception event at The House of Commons on Tuesday 19th July to commemorate its tenth anniversary.
The iKBBI is focused on the installation sector and the wider industry via its three core pillars (Education, Standards & Support) and implements various initiatives to deliver success.
At the House of Commons event, iKBBI launched an online learning portal to its members, developed by online learning specialist Virtual College in conjunction with CTSI, a key deliverer of information and guidance to businesses on trading standards law.
Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom installers will now be able to access a range of handpicked online training resources suitable for kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retail and installation businesses of all sizes. These courses range from health & safety to customer care, time management, asbestos awareness and trading fairly.
iKBBI Chief Executive, Damian Walters, commented on the launch: “Online learning can provide particular benefits for our industry as it can be used flexibly, anytime and anywhere there is access to the Internet.
“Installers are genuinely busy people that simply cannot afford to take much time out to undertake CPD in person – a directory of online opportunities therefore provides them with access to learning at a time and pace that is suitable to them.”
Both iKBBI members and the wider KBB industry will be able to access the learning portal directly from the website (www.ikbbi.org.uk) and choose those courses from within their iAcademy portal which meet the specific needs of their staff.
Mandy Garnham, Commercial Training Executive at Chartered Trading Standards Institute, stated:
”At CTSI we encourage corporate leadership to adopt a culture and attitude that promotes good trading practices and compliance and we are excited about the benefits that this new initiative can bring to iKBBI members.”
