West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce is offering members e-learning courses after announcing a partnership with Virtual College, one of the UK’s leading providers of online training.

The courses are relevant for the wide range of business sectors represented in the Yorkshire economy including retail, manufacturing, construction, hospitality, professional services, healthcare and education.

Hayley Rutter, Strategic Business Manager at Virtual College said about the deal: “We are really excited to be able to work with our local chamber to offer over 200 business related courses. Since 2008 the productivity of the UKs workforce has fallen behind many of our competitors in Europe; better training is the key to reversing this trend, but it is often difficult to source cost effective options.”

Darren Precious from West and North Yorkshire Chamber commented: “We wanted to give our members a choice between traditional training and online learning. As one of the chamber’s executive members, based right here in Yorkshire, it was natural for us to work with Virtual College.”

“The breadth of the course catalogue  and the flexible learning offered by Virtual College means that there should be something to interest all of our of members and as these are all being offered at a discount, this is yet another advantage of being a Chamber member.”
