Virtual College named as a finalist in Edtech's 20 top e-learning businesses in Europe
Virtual College is proud to announce it has been judged to be in the European EdTech 20, a listing of the top 20 e-learning companies in Europe. This is a strong endorsement of the company’s innovation and strategy to build more meaningful e-learning for companies and learners.
Virtual College, a leader in online vocational training, was judged by an industry-leading panel in terms of innovation, scale, market impact and revenue growth. The business has currently delivered online learning to over 1.3 Million learners and, as part of the strategy recognised by the judging panel, is aiming to reach 20 Million learners by 2020. This 2020 vision has three key strands: to capture a learner for life; to be the UK’s number one online provider in their chosen vocation areas; and to establish an effective overseas network through strategic partnerships.
“We are honoured to be listed in the EdTech 20. It is a testament to the continued growth and success of Virtual College. Our innovation does not confine itself to product development; we also thrive at customer service, marketing and specialised routes to market. A key example of this is our recent VOOC® initiative, which launches with the Career ‘Vocational Open Online Course’ model. We are working with some very exciting key sponsors to transform career guidance,” said Chief Executive Rod Knox.
The EdTech 20 is produced by Edxus and IBIS, a media investment and advisory firm.
