The Learning Network challenges L&D to disrupt to succeed and TJ becomes industry partner
The Learning Network invites the L&D community to join the Connect conference, discuss and debate the industry’s biggest challenges and shape the future, along with new Industry Partner Training Journal
‘Connect’ is a unique community-oriented conference event offering a world of new ideas, fresh thinking and engaging debate to innovate, inspire and empower the learning and development professional. This year the theme is “be the disruption” and it explores how L&D can lead change rather than just respond to it, and to drive and shape the disruption in organisations.
With both opening and closing keynote speakers being well known internationally, Cara North and Laura Overton will bookend expert presentations, real-life case studies and debates, exclusive networking time and a dedicated exhibition area, all exploring:
- How L&D can anticipate and lead disruptive changes in technology and wider business operations
- The role of human behaviour and organisational culture in embracing and driving disruptive change
- Connecting L&D initiatives to tangible operational improvements, demonstrating the ROI of the L&D function
Training Journal also becomes an Industry Partner of the Learning Network. Tom McDowall, Chair, says, “The Learning Network is all about bringing the L&D community together, to share advice, best practice and challenge each other to succeed. All of this makes partnering with Training Journal a no brainer. We look forward to working with the TJ team to bring our members valuable insights and resources, as well as bringing the network together in the wider L&D industry.”
Editor Jo Cook, who will also be a panellist discussing professionalising the L&D industry, commented, “Having such a strong theme for such a wonderfully friendly conference is a great direction for us all to focus on. With the onslaught of AI and other technology, changes in our planet, political, financial systems and more, there’s disruption everywhere. Being able to harness this for moving the people profession forwards, as well as the organisation and workforces we support, will be a great vision to explore! I’ve been a member of the Learning Network for a long time and know first hand the quality of their conference, member events and other benefits, like mentoring, so bringing the TJ and LN audiences together makes utter sense.”
You can book tickets for the Connect conference, held in London on Friday 15th November 2024.
