Learning NewsTJ

School of Facilitation, the learning consultancy and facilitator community, urge trainers to focus on their personal and professional development, with their learning festival in 2025, announces their first three speakers and partnership with TJ.

Connecting with others in our industry and have a true learning experience with them is something enchanting and rare. The School of Facilitation Festival (SoFest) is providing a transformative experience designed to nurture mind, body, and soul whilst connecting with like-minded professionals.

In a beautiful outdoor setting festival goers will be able to connect with 100 facilitators, trainers, and coaches, learning from inspiring speakers, attending workshops and share experiences while enjoying a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat.

Kirsty Lewis, Founder of the School of Facilitation, says, “When a publication such as TJ tell you that they are excited at the prospect of a festival for trainers and facilitators and want to partner with you, it certainly creates all the feels. I can’t wait to work with Jo and share more about the festival as we confirm the speakers, workshop hosts and after hour activities”

Lewis will be writing a regular blog to give insight to readers about the goings on behind creating such a large and unique event.

Lewis added, “TJ innately care about learning and development in the UK and beyond, the publication is about community and collaboration which are two values at the heart of School of Facilitation. Having the support of TJ means we can spread the word of SOFest even further than we can alone.”

The first three speakers are:

  • Hayley Brackley, Founder of Great Minds Don’t, talking about Neurodiversity in Learning

  • Murray Cowell, Founder of Accelerando, talking about running your own business

  • Clare Walkeden, Founder of Auburn Consultancy, talking about having an endurance mindset

Jo Cook, Editor of TJ, added, “When I first heard of the SoFest I couldn’t wait to know more about it. Seeing Kirsty’s open exploration of building something that is so very different from the average corporate event excited me and I know the TJ audience will be equally interested.”

Cook continued, “Any type of conference, webinar or social event are great places for us to learn from each other. SoFest is taking this up more than a few notches by focusing on the environment and the whole person so that all these inspiring experiences can have a deep impact on the individual and the work they do -  can’t wait to go”.

What you can expect is that we walk our talk.  How can we train you to be brilliant trainers or facilitators if we can’t exemplify this ourselves?
