San Francisco, CALearning NewsThe Open Group

AOGEA and FEAC™ join together to promote professional excellence in enterprise architecture.

The Association of Open Group Enterprise Architects (AOGEA) announced today a partnership with the Federated Enterprise Architecture Certification (FEAC) Institute to extend AOGEA membership to FEAC certified practitioners, effective immediately. In addition, FEAC will include TOGAF™ in its curriculum, and individuals completing their Certified Enterprise Architecture (CEA) program will automatically be entitled to AOGEA membership at no additional cost.

"I am confident in this partnership and the value it will bring to members of both organizations," said Felix Rausch, co-founder and executive director of the FEAC Institute. "As the definitive association for enterprise architect professionals, AOGEA's goals are perfectly aligned with ours and lend themselves to a natural alliance. AOGEA members will benefit from FEAC's hands-on pragmatic approach to training, whereas FEAC CEAs will benefit from the AOGEA's distinct focus on global standards and professional excellence."

"Through our partnership with FEAC, we are extending our reach to more enterprise architects, regardless of what certifications they hold, in an effort to raise the level of professionalism in this increasingly important field," said Allen Brown, president of The Association of Open Group Enterprise Architects. "We are also excited about working with FEAC to promote the value of open standards such as TOGAF as well as certification programs that emphasize hands-on experience, the latter of which is an important step towards assuring global organizations that they are employing highly competent architects."

AOGEA, who recently merged with the Global Enterprise Architecture Organization (GEAO), now serves more than 12,500 members in 72 different countries. The organization focuses on advancing the Enterprise Architecture profession by helping to develop and enforce standards of excellence and ethics for all members.
