Leading learning and education authors Pedro De Bruyckere and Clive Shepherd will be the keynote conference speakers at the eLN Annual Conference 'Beyond Click Next' in London on 11 November.

Pedro De Bruyckere (1974) is an educational scientist at Arteveldehogeschool, Ghent, Belgium. As well as being a highly entertaining speaker, he also co-wrote the hugely popular 'Urban Myths about Learning and Education" You can read his blogs on educational research – and myths – on www.theEconomyOfMeaning.com.

In his presentation, Pedro will explain that, although using multimedia and technology for learning can have great possibilities, but it’s often difficult to tell myths from truth. He will debunk some of the more popular wrong theories about technology and learning and at the same time offer some of evidence-based insights that really do work.

Clive Shepherd needs little introduction to UK audiences. As well as writing his latest book, 'More Than Blended Learning', he has headed up a corporate training function, co-founded a leading multimedia development business and operates as an independent consultant. He is currently devoting his attention to the new role of the learning architect, the design of next generation blended learning solutions and the design of digital learning content.

At the conference, he will be revealing the six roles in digital learning and the steps we need to take to bridge the gap. Explains Clive: "New technology has the potential to transform learning and development in organisations, yet we are taking pitifully little advantage of the opportunities available. One of the primary causes for our slow progress is the lack of digital skills in the learning and development community and we must bridge that gap".

As an added bonus, conference delegates will each receive discount vouchers for both of these authors latest books giving them up to 30% off the list price.

The eLearning Network’s biggest ever conference 'Beyond Click Next' will be held at the trendy 15 Hatfields, London on 11 November, open to members and non-members alike. The full programme and sign-up for the conference can be found on the eLearning Network website.
