Unicorn LMS has been rated the UK’s top learning management system in a new report, published by the Craig Weiss Group.

With the system already ranked world number one for financial services and number three overall in Weiss’ annual sector-leading 2017 Top 50 LMS Report, the new Inside Report now puts the Unicorn LMS at the top of the overall UK pile too.

The report hails Unicorn LMS for being ‘outstanding’ in compliance and regulatory as well commending the system’s ‘impressive’ user interface (UI) and ‘strong’ user experience (UX).

It also recognises the system’s unique integrated mobile Apps, including its CPD App and the continuing development of Unicorn’s Minds-i content curation App.

Peter Phillips, Unicorn CEO, said: “We’re honoured to have been ranked the UK’s top LMS. Craig Weiss is widely held as the world’s leading independent LMS expert, with an unparalleled, in-depth knowledge of the market and how it’s developing. While Unicorn LMS has been recognised as the best LMS for the financial sector for each of the past three years, to be the outright UK number one is especially pleasing."

"It’s a tribute to our dedicated and expert platform team, our exceptional customer service, and to our clients, who help so much in deciding on our roadmap of continual improvement.”

More than 400,000 registered individuals in over 1,000 organisations completed over 4.8 million learning sessions and assessments through the Unicorn LMS in the past year.

As well as supporting the traditional need for an LMS to define, manage and report on core competencies, including a degree of central control, tracking, reporting, data security and an audit trail, Unicorn LMS embraces the mobile, informal, collaborative world of microlearning, to meet learner thirst for bizesize JIT learning on the move.

This recognition comes as Unicorn, in partnership with Learning Age Solutions (LAS) and UCL, scooped Gold in the ‘Best use of simulations or virtual environments for learning’ category at the prestigious Learning Technologies Awards last week.

Mr Phillips added: “We are ardent believers in the power of experiential learning and have been excited to see new levels of interest in our learning simulations over the past 12 months. The judges described our entry as a sophisticated, multi-layered, immersive and realistic business simulation, that focused on demonstrable learner engagement and tangible outcomes, so we were really delighted to win the award.”
