LondonLearning NewsQA

QA has been shortlisted for a HR Supplier Partnership Award, the category that recognises the achievements of suppliers of products and services in relation to a HR client.

Rob Moss, editor of Personnel Today and one of the judges for the new category, said: “While the Personnel Today Awards have always recognised the excellence and achievements of HR teams and individuals, we realised more could be done to acknowledge the hugely valuable input of the numerous suppliers to the profession.

“So this year we created two new categories – the Consultancy of the Year and the HR Supplier Partnership – and we’re really pleased with the variety and quality of entries we have received,” Moss said.

QA has been nominated by Leeds City Council in recognition of their partnership to develop a piece of work aimed at transforming Manager Habits in-line with employee feedback through the employee engagement survey and the IIP audit results.

In late 2013, Leeds City Council approached QA with a requirement to drive this cultural change amongst 2800+ managers. Leeds City Council and QA worked in partnership to design and develop an immersive learning event aimed at creating a cultural movement. These were large scale auditorium events with 100 delegates attending each half-day session and passing through facilitated zones on a journey that covered off each of the 5 manager habits.

The results have been astounding with staff feedback stating that the programme has the workforce:

  • Really Fired Up
  • Inspired and energised
  • [98% of managers] stating that as a result of the event they are now clear about the manager habit areas they need to improve on

The key commitments from the event that already show results:

  • Better use of public money
  • Increased community engagement
  • Team challenge actions aimed at improving end service to the citizens of Leeds

“Working in partnership with QA has strengthened the learning we can offer our 15,000+ employees, which is crucial at a time of real change for our organisation and local government,” Graham Sephton commented.

Entries for the award included those from software providers, learning and development companies, diversity consultants, recruitment agencies, healthcare providers and law firms.

Adam Jones, Sales Manager at QA Said:

“It’s an absolute honour to be nominated for this prestigious award and we would like to say thank you to all of our clients and particularly the Team at Leeds City Council. Working in true partnership with our clients is what enables QA to deliver learning services that transform organisational performance and deliver real lasting impact. QA would like to wish all our fellow shortlisted suppliers the best of luck and we look forward to celebrating with them in due course”

The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on 18 November 2014 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
