QA Launches innovative PRINCE2® eLearning using latest 3D Technology

QA has launched a new range of eLearning, focusing on its market-leading PRINCE2 project management courses. Developed by in-house experts, the eLearning includes ‘as live’ role play and a wide range of supporting interactive learning tools. It is fully accredited by the APMG.

Combing the vast project management experience of QA’s PRINCE2 subject matter experts with the cutting-edge technical development provided by QA’s bespoke eLearning team, the course is built around case studies presented through a series of multimedia scenarios. These are supported by sample project documents, interactive quizzes and assessments and a collection of online ‘Knowledge Nuggets’ presentations that provide more in-depth detail on the processes outside of the case study.

CEO of QA, William Macpherson, explains: “We’ve analysed a lot of the eLearning that is currently available and in particular the way people learn from and interact with the eLearning product. When learning a method, like PRINCE2, we think it’s particularly important that the experience really engages the learner, so we’ve used a technique called third-person directed learning, which allows the user to watch a project unfold from end-to-end rather than just listen or watch an explanation of how it works. This completely brings the project to life and allows them to see how the techniques and method they’re learning can be applied to a real life project. In addition the project documents that are used in the case study have been designed so they can be used as templates back in the workplace.”

“It goes without saying that PRINCE2 is one of our most popular courses, and we’re justifiable proud of the exceptionally high pass rate we achieve in our classroom-based training. However, we know that it’s sometimes hard for people to take time out of the office, and many organisations are keeping a watchful eye on travel costs. Providing an eLearning option that allows people to achieve the Foundation certification in their own time is an ideal solution.”

The Foundation level eLearning can either be completed as a stand-alone certification, or as a component in QA’s blended programme for full PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification. This provides a combination of the speed and flexibility of eLearning for the Foundation level with the in-depth support and instructor expertise needed for the Practitioner level qualification.

All delegates who have taken their Foundation courses with QA, and now wish to sit the QA PRINCE2 Practitioner, will be offered a copy of the eLearning free of charge as a refresher before they attend the classroom course.
