QA acquires Remarc to provide the widest range of training in the North: Delivering more courses, more often, from more locations
Remarc has today become part of QA, following the acquisition of the company. By joining QA, Remarc customers will have access to a wider schedule of training courses, across a greater number of subject areas and in more locations.
The acquisition is effective from Monday 7th September, and brings all of Remarc’s business in to QA. All customers will have immediate access to the full portfolio from both organisations, including the UK’s widest range of technical, business applications, project management and service management, and management & personal development courses, as well as an improved service for tailored requirements.
CEO of QA, William Macpherson, comments; “QA has always recognised that local knowledge and long-standing relationships are vital components to serve our local customers in the North of England. With the strength of Remarc we now believe we can now offer our customers in the North the strongest schedule of training, the best possible service, and widest range of locations. Our priority is to quickly realise the benefits for our customers, while ensuring that their experience with us continues to meet our high standards.
“When we heard that Ed Smith and Andy Metcalf were planning to move on from the training industry, we knew that bringing Remarc in to QA would allow us to continue to provide customers with the high quality training experience they currently enjoy, at the most competitive prices available. We work closely with our customers to help their IT departments on their journey of improvement and to develop the rounded professionals who will make an impact on their business. The strength of our people and services combined with the experience and local knowledge offered by the staff of Remarc will enable QA to further develop this support in the future.”
Chairman of Remarc, Ed Smith adds; “We’re delighted to bring Remarc and QA together – we’ve always seen QA as a strong competitor in the industry, so it’s great to now be part of the organisation. Joining forces means our customers will have access to greater resources and a wider schedule to support their learning requirements, while retaining the local focus they have enjoyed to date. QA will continue to take forward the best processes from our organisation in order to support immediate improvements. Both myself and Remarc Managing Director, Andy Metcalf have enjoyed building the business, and feel strongly that its success will continue with QA.”
Remarc and QA are both privately owned companies within the QA-IQ Group. Starting today the company will begin the planned integration of the service offerings and operations of QA and Remarc to ensure a smooth transition of business.
