QA and SkillSoft Partner to Deliver Blended Learning Solutions
QA, the UK's leading independent provider of training and consulting, and SkillSoft, a leading provider of e-learning courseware and Referenceware(R) for business and IT professionals, today announce a partnership to deliver a blended soft skills training solution to organisations across the UK.
QA has developed customised, intensive classroom-based business skills workshops to complement SkillSoft's e-learning content. This new capability will allow both organisations to respond to the increasing demands of their clients for blended learning solutions for business skills training.
"The effectiveness of e-learning has been widely proven," commented Kevin Young, Managing Director, SkillSoft EMEA. "But we recognise that organisations want the flexibility to blend e-learning with classroom-based training. So, together SkillSoft and QA are offering a solution that meets the blended learning needs of our clients".
European surveys show that 80% of training buyers will seek blended training solutions during the next 12 months. Blended learning provides an effective combination of training delivery mechanisms to ensure learners gain deeper understanding and better skills acquisition.
"At QA, we have over 20 years' experience of classroom-based business skills training and a strong commitment to blended learning," commented Brian Sutton, Chief Educator, QA. "SkillSoft is recognised in the industry as having high quality content and outstanding customer service. Through this partnership, QA and SkillSoft are offering a solution that will benefit our clients, across all industry sectors, by maximising their return on their training investment and by enhancing the learning experience of individuals".
Based on a highly successful partnership model developed by SkillSoft in the US, QA's short, intensive, classroom workshops will be closely aligned to SkillSoft's e-learning content. Clients who buy SkillSoft e-learning courses can purchase classroom sessions designed to complement the e-learning portfolio. Likewise, clients who buy classroom sessions will be able to buy e-learning content that enhances and reinforces the classroom activity.
