Ontuitive is a pioneer of new methods in performance support and, over the past decade, has developed new models and applications for the development of performance support solutions. In joining the Learning and Skills Group, Ontuitive will provide its members with performance support resources and knowledge sharing and work with the LSG membership to lead new ideas for the future development of performance support.

“In the past developing performance support systems would involve an army of consultants and developers; the systems were costly, often inflexible and lacked user adoption But this has changed in recent years,” said Ontuitive’s Bob Mosher, one of the key visionaries that has helped the learning industry to build a new breed of performance systems and identify new, effective ways of implementing them. “New methods and new technologies are bringing performance support to the fore and have made it a realistic, affordable proposition.”

The Learning and Skills Group is an international community of over 5,000 organisational learning and learning technology professionals. It is also the official community of the annual Learning Technologies and Learning and Skills events in London. The group provides resources and webinars about developments in L&D and networking events for its members.

Donald Taylor, Learning and Skills Group Chairman, said: “the L&D sector has been grappling with ways to make more of a direct impact on business for many years, with mixed successes. By embracing the ideals and principles of the latest thinking in performance support, getting more learning into workflows, L&D is one step nearer to resolving it.”

Ontuitive has already run its first event for the Learning and Skills Group’s members: ‘Performance support in 2 clicks and 10 seconds’, which aimed to highlight both the primary requirement for performance systems to be instantly accessible in the workflow and to show L&D professionals some of the recent advances in performance support technology and methods. “Ontuitive’s first event was well received and I’m looking forward to working with the Ontuitive team to develop greater understanding about performance systems amongst our membership,” added Taylor.
