OneFile - leading software for learning and development – is pioneering apprenticeships across the country and around the globe. They've made it their mission to shape the futures of a million people by 2020. It's an ambitious task, so they're working with companies across the sector to make it happen.

Everybody wants to be the best. But being the best isn't always about claiming first prize, it's about working hard and being the best you can be. As long as you try your best, that's all that matters.

This may sound like an age-old cliché, but it's true. That's why mums whisper it to nervous children before exams. That's why supporters shout it along marathon routes. And that's why OneFile has built a learning software – so people have the tools they need to be the best that they can be.

OneFile is all about helping people reach their potential – which is why they've made it their mission to shape the futures of 1 million people by 2020.

To achieve their mission, OneFile has developed an all-in-one learning platform suitable for all types of vocational training. With OneFile, everyone has the opportunity to learn in a way that suits them – whether they're starting a plumbing apprenticeship or training to be a nurse.

OneFile helps others be the best, but in many ways it is the best too. Their offline app won the Queen's Award for Innovation this year; their eportfolio is the most advanced and most popular on the market; and their VLE is the only one in the world that maps assessment criteria automatically. This level of innovation is quite a feat, but it's not new to OneFile. Their cofounders, Chris Whalley and Susanna Lawson, have been making waves in the education sector for over 12 years – and their influence keeps on growing.

Susanna Lawson is an ambassador for apprenticeships in US. She's a member of the Transatlantic Apprenticeship Exchange Forum – a collection of the most forward-thinking minds working to drive the new apprenticeship movement across the States. The Forum has created a new breed of apprenticeships to suit the American market – and OneFile is an integral part of the picture. Lots of apprentices enrolled on the new qualifications will complete their training using OneFile, promising a brighter future for young people across America.

With the introduction of higher and degree-level apprenticeships, the apprenticeships levy and employer-designed standards, employers are starting to understand the huge opportunity apprenticeships can bring to their staff and business.

Find OneFile at stand T1 at the upcoming Learning Technologies event, and catch Susanna's seminar 'Bringing edtech to businesses' in theatre 9 at 11:45am on 1st February.
