New app separates learning and admin
Foundry is the new app from mylearningworx, the UK’s first crowd sourced hub for online learning. The app enables organisations and learning providers to handle their learning administration separately from the built-in tools that offer and produce elearning. Foundry is a separate application which links into mylearningworx. This lets workplace learners concentrate on their learning requirements, without unnecessary exposure to administration functions they do not need. The main mylearningworx hub remains dedicated to helping learners find thousands of different types of content including videos, elearning courses, PDFs, presentations and assessments. Meanwhile, Foundry provides a deliberately simple way for organisations to share learning across a workforce.
‘The idea behind Foundry is to give both organisations and learning authors easier ways of managing the use of their online learning programmes’ explains mylearningworx managing director, Martin Belton. ‘Learners are often faced with complex layers and finger-numbing amounts of clicks just to actually reach any learning content in some of today’s platforms. Having one system that tries to do everything means that nothing is done well and the user experience is compromised for learners and administrators alike.
