MicroLearn Launches Soft Skills Range at CIPD
MicroLearn, a brand-new eLearning company, launched its Soft Skills range at the CIPD L&D Show in London last week.
The MicroLearn team were proud to show off their creative efforts, with the content having been designed and developed by in-house specialists, from the initial scripts, through to the video creation and course design.
As with MicroLearn’s Compliance range released earlier this year, the Soft Skills range can be broken down into a number of formats, starting with the 15-minute Module that features a whiteboard explainer video, extended learning and a short quiz to check understanding. The VideoPlus, video with accompanying knowledge check, and other microlearning resources are also available in each range.
The range, which includes courses on Customer Service, Communication & Social Skills and Teamwork, joins the pre-existing Compliance courses in the company’s off-the-shelf catalogue.
Alison Soper, MicroLearn’s Creative Director, said: “We’re very proud of our new Soft Skills range. We’ve aimed to cover a range of key topics in our initial Soft Skills release to provide an effective microlearning solution for workplace learning and development.”
The CIPD Learning and Development Show, which took place at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, May 10-11, provided the MicroLearn team with the opportunity to launch the new range and explain to visitors what the microlearning trend means to them.
“For us, microlearning means developing content that’s suited to today’s fast-paced work environments”, said Alison. “That’s why all our content is designed to last no longer than 15 minutes and can be accessed from anywhere, including your phone, meaning it can be completed wherever and whenever best suits the learner.”
After a successful show, MicroLearn is now focused on creating its next content range, which increasingly includes demand-lead development and bespoke work for clients.
