Letter For Your Boss Released for Learning Professionals by Elliott Masie
Elliott Masie, host of Learning 2014, published a “Letter to Your Boss” for potential participants at Learning 2014, a global meeting to be held from Oct 26 to 29 in Orlando, Florida.
Even learning professionals need the approval of their managers and bosses. Elliott Masie has published a “Letter to Your Boss” for potential participants at Learning 2014, a global meeting to be held from Oct 26 to 29 in Orlando, Florida.
“I was impressed with the coach of the US soccer team for the World Cup when he wrote a note to the bosses of fans, explaining why their employees would be focused on the US vs. Germany game. He was funny and right. So, I wrote a note to the managers of the 1,600 learning professionals that will attend Learning 2014”, said Elliott Masie, Host and Curator of Learning 2014.
Here are some of the items in Elliott’s "Note To Your Boss!”:
Learning is changing! And, in many ways learning is being “disrupted” by rapid changes in technology, worker expectations, the speed of business and shifts in how everyone (from K-12 students to the senior members of your organization) wants to learn.
Learning 2014 is a unique event. It combines interesting and exciting keynote speakers (Robin Roberts from ABC, Sir Ken Robinson, Chef Bobby Flay, leaders from TED, and others) with high levels of learner engagement.
Our themes include Learning Personalization, Compliance & Learning, Shifts in Leadership Development, Do MOOCs Work at Work?, ReDesigning Webinars & Classrooms, Mobile & Learning, and many more.
And, we “walk the talk”. We can’t consider alternatives to existing learning approaches while enduring long PowerPoint presentations and traditional trade shows. Instead, we promote high engagement, and your team member can try replacing a NASCAR tire as fast as possible, visit labs on Gaming & Gamification, and meet with members of both our 30 Under 30 and Boomers in Learning groups.
Learning 2014 will be held in Orlando, Florida from October 26 to 29, 2014.
Learning 2014 is produced by The Learning CONSORTIUM, a collaborative of 230 global corporations, focused on improving workplace learning and training. Hosted and curated by Elliott Masie, Learning 2014 brings together several thousand learning professionals as they focus on the changing nature of workplace education and development. In previous years, keynote speakers have included General Colin Powell, President Bill Clinton, Author Susan Cain, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Athlete Apolo Ohno, Actor John Lithgow, Captain Sully Sullenberger and business authors Marshall Goldsmith, Ken Blanchard and Tom Peters.
