Major corporations are overwhelmed with the amount of training and retraining required by compliance and regulatory stipulations – often teaching employees what they know already. Elliott Masie has announced a special forum on the "Compliance & Learning Crisis Roundtable" to be held at Learning 2014, taking place October 26-29 in Orlando, Florida.
“Many learning leaders would say that compliance and regulatory training is out of control!” says Masie, Host of Learning 2014 and Chair of the Learning CONSORTIUM. “Some organizations point to figures as high as 70% of all learning programs are structured or focused more on regulatory compliance than building the job focused skills of the employees.”
In many organizations, retraining or re-teaching the same content on an annual basis - regardless of worker competencies - is mandated as part of compliance.
